This is the Kensington branch of a small group of restaurants serving North Indian cuisine in elegant and stylish surroundings. Long gone are the days when an Indian meant a quick 'ruby and lager' after the pub, when most participants were too far gone to know their Poppadum from their Paratha. The clientele of Indian restaurants has grown up, and places like Cafe Lazeez provide far more sophisiticated fare and much more than just Chicken Tikka Masala. The Old Brompton Road site is lively and fun with a very popular bar that has a licence until 1am. The Sunday buffets are also a popular feature, particularly with those on the 'museum circuit'. This is one of the few Indian restaurants that you can eat al fresco.Average price - £25-£34 / €35-€49In-House Bar 93 - 95 Old Brompton Road London SW7 This modern bar and chill out lounge is the place to go in South Ken. With its late licence, sedated elegance and too-cool clientele, Cafe Lazeez has mass appeal. With live Jazz on the weekends and a party atmosphere every night of the week, this definetely a place to have a good time.
