The Luton museum and Art Gallery is situated in a beautiful, large Victorian mansion located in the 40 acre Wardown Park, just on the outer area of Luton town centre.
The museum hosts a number of displays but its main focus are on the traditional crafts of Bedfordshire, such as, lace making and hat making.
The museum also hosts exhibits of costumes, straw plaiting, fine arts, a collection that features over 600 hats, extensive displays of decorative arts, including Saxon jewellery and several Victorian room settings, as well as medieval guild books.
