The Stockwood Park Museum is set in beautiful parkland, on the location of the former Stockwood House, two miles to the south of Luton town centre.
The museum is the home to the Mossman collection of horse drawn vehicles. The collection of over 50 vehicles illustrates the development of horse drawn road transport in Britain from Roman times to the 1930s.
The museum and its beautiful setting is well suited to the displays of rural crafts and trades, which give visitors, a flavour of the life in Bedfordshire before the age of the machine.
