FACT, or The Foundation for Art & Creative Technology, is the UK's leading organization for the development, support and exhibition of film, video and new and emerging media. Founded in 1988 (then named Moviola) FACT has commissioned and presented over 100 digital media artworks with artists including Mark Wallinger, Barbara Kruger, Tony Oursler and Isaac Julien.

The FACT Centre's two gallery spaces present newly commissioned work - or projects that are new to UK audiences - by internationally significant artists working in film, video and new media. There are also presentations of work highlighting new developments in video and new media art alongside key historical works.

The Picture house at FACT hosts the very best cinema from around the world in its three state-of-the-art screens. The Box presents film and video programmes as well as acting as transmission studio for FACT's online TV channel and hosting regular sound and music events.

Groups: The emerging programme for schools and colleges focuses on the creative use and critical understanding of the potential of film art and creative technology. With activities for both pupils and teachers, all projects involve practitioners working with educators and learners as tutors, speakers and presenters - but primarily as artists with a developed philosophical practice of their own. We will provide schools and colleges with events and resources that complement the films shown, enhance curriculum work and stimulate an interest in, and understanding of, moving image culture
