Samares Manor & Gardens is a great attraction for all the family. Inside the grounds you can visit the herb garden, craft center, children's nature trail, manor tours, the Jersey Rural Life and Carriage Museum, gift shop, Herb Garden restaurant and plant nursery. Open daily from April 8th - October 14th, 9.30am to 5.00pm.
Guided tours of The Jersey Rural Life and Carriage Museum are available daily at 10.30am, 11.15am and 3.30pm free of charge. You can discover the history of the gardens on tours held at 3.30 pm Monday to Friday, free of charge. Guided tours of the Manor House occur at 12.15pm and 2.30pm Monday to Saturday, for an additional charge.
The Super Sleuth Competition is a children's nature trail with a difference, where you will meet some of the birds, animals and trees that make their home in the manor grounds. There are prizes to be won each month. A number of special events take place each year, including Shakespeare in the garden, an autumn fair and exhibitions.
The craft centre open Monday to Friday, features a glass studio and glass painting, wood turning, giant cabbage walking sticks, soap making and fragrances. Try a traditional Jersey cream tea in the restaurant, serving genuine Jersey produce and meals featuring herbs from the garden.
