Beaumaris Castle is located on the beautiful island of Anglesey surrounded by scenic views of the stunning countryside and mountains. The castle was built as one of the 'iron ring' of North Wales castles by the monarch Edward I, to mark his authority on the welsh.
Beaumaris is thought of as on of the greatest Edwardian castles in Wales, started in 1295 it was also the last. There is so much to see at the castle including fourteen major obstacles that the enemy would have to try to overcome, hundreds of arrow slits cleverly hidden and the deadly use of 'murder holes' to defend the entrances.
