Acorn Venture Farm is a 4 hectare urban farm which is open to the public 7 days per week, with attractions including a wide range of farm animals (which can be hand fed with special food bought from the shop), an animal petting pavilion, a working goat dairy, garden centre, a short woodland walk and two children's play areas.

Facilities include the farm shop which sells home produced goods such as free range meat, home made ice cream and free range eggs. It also sells souvenirs, sweets and drinks. Acorn Farm also provide guided tours for large parties, a wide range of day time activities for people with special needs and an "Animobile" (mobile farm unit) available for hire to visit schools or groups.

The cafe is open 7 days a week and sells a range of daily specials, hot and cold food, snacks and drinks. Toilets and hand washing facilities are also available. Open 10am - 4pm. Adults £1, Children 50p, Under 3's free of charge

Info for Disabled: The farm holds horse riding lessons for people with disabilities on Friday mornings. Horse rides are also available every afternoon during the school holidays (Saturday and Sunday afternoons at other times).
Getting There: From the A580 East Lancs. Road turn into Coopers Lane at the traffic lights. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit into Perimeter Road. Follow this road for about 1 mile and then take the first left into Moss End Way and then turn right into Depot Road. (The brown tourist signs may be followed from the East Lancs. Road, both Liverpool/Manchester bound).
