Dixcart is Sark's oldest hotel, nestled high up amid a 'sun-trapped' valley, just a short stroll from the village, yet in a secluded world of its own. This former 16th century feudal farm longhouse has extensive grounds, including medieval hand-terraced gardens, fields, and cliff paths overlooking the sea.
All the en suite bedrooms feature pine furnishings, central heating and colour televisions. Guests can relax in one of the three comfortable lounges or resident's bar, with ancient fire places to warm the stone walls.
The spacious dining room, lit by candlelight overlooks the garden and serves inexpensive, simple menus featuring local seafood and produce whenever possible. Hugo's wine and food bar, which is separate from the hotel has outdoor seating and a children's play area.
