Philip Hughes is a qualified 'Blue Badge Tour Guide' for Liverpool and North West England who has been welcoming tourists since 1995. He is also trained to give tours of North Wales.

'Phils' is most famous for the comprehensive Beatles tour for which he comes highly recommended in many international guidebooks. The tour takes in Beatles homes, schools, colleges (including Paul McCartney's L.I.P.A), theatres, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane, Woolton village/St Peter's church (where John first met Paul) and many more Beatles sites. Phil gives full historical background to all these sights, offering fun anecdotes and the frequent opportunities to step out and take souvenir photographs.

Phil's tour also includes: Liverpool's interesting maritime history, European emigration, World War II, American civil war, Lusitania and Titanic Connections. Phil will do his best to pick you up and drop you off at the Beatles Story museum or your city centre hotel, ferry terminal or Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Phil has been featured in several TV travel shows and featured in countless international newspapers. During his time he has taken everyone from Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones during their 40 licks tour, transport for film crews of various nationalities the manager of the Japanese national football team and various international celebrities.
Further Information: As well as Beatles tours, you can book for a variety of trips, ranging from historic Chester and Cheshire to the rugged beauty of North Wales, for full or half days. Phil is happy to devise individual itineraries on request. He can also provide transport to Liverpool, Everton or Manchester United games. Airport Pickups are also available and a trailer is available for golf buggies and baggage when necessary.
