Duxford Imperial War Museum

The Imperial War Museum is located in Duxford, Cambridgeshire and is Europe's premier aviation museum, and has one of the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits in the country.

The Imperial War Museum began as an airfield during the First World War and has also played a vital role in the Second World War, firstly as an RAF fighter station and later as an American fighter base.

Duxford's American Air Museum is a tribute to American air power and a memorial to the 30,000 US airmen who lost their lives flying from British bases, during the Second World War.
