Over the years Chateau Dorrien wines have become famous for their quality and consistency. Founded in 1913 by the Seppelt family the Dorrien winery is one of the Barossa Valley's historic landmarks. The building once held over 90 wine fermentation vats, which were predominantly used for storage of their wines.
In 1984 the Martin family purchased the property and officially re-opened as Chateau Dorrien on January 13 1985. It was initially used as a small production winery until the area no longer met with production requirements. In 1990 Jeanette and Fernando Martin went on to purchase Twin Valley Estate.
The winery in the rolling hills of the Lyndoch Valley is now where the wine makers produce the estate's award winning red and white table wines, special ports and the now famous honey meads.
