The Park covers 17 hectares between Painkalac Creek mouth and Castle Rock and extends about 300 metres offshore.
Flora & FaunaThe park is home to Sponges, Sub tidal Kelp, Sea stars, Crabs, Octopus, Chitons, schools of tiny Silver Fish, Blue Throated Wrasse, Rosy Wrasse and Sweep, Yellow-eyed Mullet and Cat Sharks.
The geology of this sanctuary is varied (sandstone and basalt) and incorporates a range of shore platforms, pools, subtidal fissures and boulder fields. This provides a variety of habitats for a diverse range of forests and invertebrate assemblages including and sea anemones.
