Old Toll Bar is the first house in Scotland as you cross the border from England. It is in an ideal location to explore the Borders, Hadrians Wall and Dumfrieshire in Scotland, with easy access to Kielder Forest, Carlisle and Hexham in England.
Old Toll Bar is ideally placed for a relaxed stop on a long journey, or an ideal meeting place.We have a popular restaurant which offers snacks during the day and on Saturday, a more extensive evening meal.
Caravan and camping accommodation is offered on a level site behind the restaurant with 46 excellent pitches for both caravans or canvas. The site offers surprisingly good value, including electrical hook-ups and a heated toilet and shower block. The campsite is level with compact gravel drive and ramped access into the toilet and shower block, suitable for wheelchair users.

- Old Toll Bar also offers weddings in the first house in Scotland in a small and intimate room where you can relive the experience of a runaway wedding or renew your wedding vows. We can organise a retired minister to see over the event, provide appropriate music, arrange a piper and create a buffet or meal to suit you.
