The Cambridge University Botanic Garden first opened to the public in 1846 and is located, less than a mile to the south of the City centre and only five minutes walk from the railway station.
The beautiful garden is set in 40 acres and has a collection of over 10,000 labelled plant species in beautifully landscaped settings.
A number of guided tours are available, such as the general tour of the garden, a winter tour and the secret gardens of Cambridge tour, that gives the visitor a chance to view four private college gardens, not normally open to the public.
