Almeida Theatre

The Almeida Theatre produces an eclectic range of British and international drama, which you can watch from the comfort of the 325 seat auditorium. The Almeida's acting area is as large, as the auditorium is small, creating an intimate relationship between the performers and the audience.

Almeida Projects works with the local community, running workshops and residency programmes, so it comes as no surprise that the theatre has established a reputation as a local theatre with a world profile. Almeida Opera produces an internationally acclaimed festival of new contemporary music each summer.

The Almeida Theatre Bar offers tasty homemade dishes, accompanied by a great wine list, amid a relaxed atmosphere. The café bar serves from 12noon to 7pm and the bar is open for pre/post show and interval drinks, until 11pm on performance nights and children are welcome until 9pm.
