The first of its kind in the UK, the Surfing Museum in Brighton was set up with the purpose of celebrating British surf history and charting its legacy. More importantly it is run by surfers on a not-for-profit basis.
The Surfing Museum will draw upon an extensive and historically significant collection of surfboards, literature and memorabilia.
It captures the passion and the spirit of the 'sport', which for many is a way of life. As they say, it is a museum being built 'by you, the British surfer' Great stuff.
