The Cutty Sark closed to the public on 5 November 2006, in order to commence work on a conservation project, with the scheduled re-opening of the ship for late 2008. However from spring 2007 an exciting temporary exhibition will be in place for the duration of the conservation project.

Visitors can participate in hard-hat tours, with full details available from early 2007. The Cutty Sark was an intimate and atmospheric venue, available for exclusive hire for corporate or private functions and will be available again after the conservation work has finished.
