The Upper Mountains begin at Wentworth Falls. This is where the road and railway line start to cross the highest point of the plateau. The climate is noticeably colder, and the landscape more spectacular.

This park, which is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, protects an unusually diverse range of vegetation communities. There are rare and ancient plants and isolated animal populations tucked away in its deep gorges. This is a vast and special place.

As you might guess, Wentworth Falls is most famous for its awe-inspiring waterfalls, which plunge over three levels of sheer cliffs into the Jamison Valley below. Visit the Three Sisters and Echo point and the Scenic Railway and Skyway for a new perspective.
