From bush hut chimneys and deep mine shafts to old tree stumps and new growth, Enfield State Park is home to a large number of plant and animal species as well as many gold mining relics from last century. Wildflowers abound in Spring, where visitors can choose one of the many walking tracks to experience the scents and sights of nature's display.

Flora and FaunaThere are about 100 bird species recorded in the park these include the Kookaburra, Grey Currawong, Crimson Rosella, Boobook Owl and Superb Fairy Wren. The park has 22 native mammal species Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Swamp Wallaby, Echidna and Koala species of possums, bats and antechinus. Frogs are common in the park and can be heard calling. Some of the commonly heard frogs include the Common Froglet, Victorian Smooth Froglet and Southern Brown Tree Frog.
