Langi Ghiran State Park abuts the Western Highway 80 km west of Ballarat and 14 km east of Ararat. The 2695 hectare park contains two distinct land types - rugged granite peaks and gentle sloping open woodland.
Flora & FaunaEastern Grey Kangaroos inhabit the woodland and can often be seen from the roads. Echidnas, wallabies and a variety of birds are found throughout the Park. Powerful Owls inhabit the northern and eastern slopes and Wedge-tailed Eagles are often seen soaring the higher peaks.
