Mallanganee National Park is located just to the east of the village of Mallanganee, on the Bruxner Highway between Tenterfield and Casino.
A short trip from the highway into the lokout (just a few hundred metres) will give the visitor a spectacular view over this NationalPark.
A feature of the park is its area of World Heritage-listed rainforest with a significant stand of dry rainforest- characterised by a low canopy with emergent hoop pine, deciduous fig, teak and silky oak.
The paradise riflebird, regent bowerbird, red-crowned pigeon and noisy pitta are all part of the prolific bird life.
