Moore Park Nature Reserve is a great place to bushwalk, do some birdwatching, observe flying foxes roosting during the day, or simply have a picnic. Flora & Fauna Moore Park Nature Reserve protects one of the last remnants of an area known as Boyds Scrub, with several stands of gallery rainforest, including black bean and silky oak, which once thrived in this area.
The Park is also home to a variety of animals these include Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog, Peron's Tree Frog, Brown Goshawk, Pied Currawong, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Mistletoebird, Leaden Flycatcher, Logrunner, Green Catbird, Bush Rat, Black Flying-fox, Grey-headed Flying-fox, Common Blossom-bat, Krefft's Dwarf Snake, Carpet or Diamond Python & the Grass Skink.
