Snaking its way from west to east through spectacular sandstone cliffs, the Goulburn River is the natural focus of this park. An abundance of wildlife provides opportunities to sight emus, redneck wallabies, goannas and platypuses, along with a rich selection of birdlife.

Areas of wide, sandy riverbank, often lined with river oaks, provide walkers with easy access to rugged scenery. Picnic sites and car-based camping are available along the Goulburn River at Spring Gully & Big River.
