The Nangar-Murga range is a landmark in the flat central west. Its forests, rich in flowering shrubs, are an important wildlife refuge in a landscape that has been largely cleared.
The park offers interesting walks and views from the escarpment. There is car-based camping (no caravans) at a camping area in the park, but at present there are no facilities there.
