Around 20 percent of this magnificent park is rainforest and your likely to see Kangaroos, Wallabies, Koalas and even Bandicoots living in the park.

This park has an array of rainforest and other forest areas that provide habitat for threatened species such as the Hastings River mouse. This is an unspoilt environment. The park is accessible by 2WD but there is no vehicle access at all in wet weather. There is a camping area off Main Range Road. For the traveller, Mount Royal is easily accessible and provides a scenic place to enjoy picnicking, bushwalking and bird-watching.
