The Moonee Beach Nature Reserve protects rare headland plants, coastal rainforest and a pristine estuary. It is located at Emerald and Moonee Beaches just north of Coffs Harbour.

Camping is not permitted. Privately owned caravan parks exist at Moonee and Emerald Beach.
