Still pools and wet-weather waterfalls lie at the heart of this wild and little-known park. Spring wildflowers are a special feature. The park has camping and picnic areas, with picnic tables and BBQs, public toilets and a carpark.

Kings Plains Creek & dry woodlands provide a home to a wide range of native animals these include; Long-thumbed Frog, Smooth Toadlet, Pacific Black Duck, Australian Magpie, Galah, Peaceful Dove, Sacred Kingfisher, Diamond Firetail, Turquoise Parrot, Swamp Wallaby, Squirrel Glider, Koala, Lace Monitor & Eastern Water Skink.

There are plenty of things to see and do in the park, you can visit Kings Plains Creek, go wildlife watching, picnicking, camping, cycling, participate in adventure sports or try a spot of 4WD touring.

50 km north-west of Glen Innes, via Wellingrove, 47 km north-east of Inverell, then onto the Kings Plain Road, follow the signs from Glen Innes & Inverell. All are unsealed roads with creek crossings that may flood briefly in wet weather.
