Situated 134 kilometres along the Gibb River Road where the traveller passes through Yamarra Gap, the King Leopold Ranges Conservation Park covers an area of 392,100 hectares.

To the west of this park in the Napier Range is Queen Victoria's Head. From here the country becomes rugged and is dotted with huge granite outcrops. These are the foothills of the King Leopolds which were named by Alexander Forrest in 1879 after King Leopold of Belgium.

Many breathtakingly beautiful gorges are located in this conservation park including Bell Gorge, Silent Grove and Lennard Gorge.
