Located on the Central West Coast sandplain 250 kilometres north of Perth, 24 kilometres south west of Eneabba and fourteen kilometes east of Leeman in Western Australia, the Stockyard Gully National Park covers an area of 1,406 hectares. Access is available from sealed Coorow Greenhead Road, 10 kilometres of good gravel road and then four kilometres of sand track to the park boundary. Within the Park access is by four wheel drive vehicle on sand and capstone rock tracks.

The Park has a series of subterranean caverns which drain a small stream flowing westward into them and is mainly limestone outcrops with intermittent low gullies. Vegetation is mainly light sandplain Heath and Banksia with some large Eucalyptus in the gullies. Animals to be found in the Park include colonies of bats in the cave system and Grey Kangaroos while many wrens and small birds will also be found.

Picnicking and discreet camping is allowed in the Park, but no facilities are provided. All water required must be taken as no water is available in the Park. No ground fires are permitted. Supplies and other accommodation can be found at Greenhead, Leeman and Eneabba. The scrub is extremely dense, with dangerous cave vent holes concealed throughout the Park. No walk or nature trails are provided at present. There is no swimming or rock climbing in the Park.
