The Kennedy Range National Park lie roughly one hundred and sixty nine kilometres east of Carnarvon and is surrounded by pastoral leases. For this reason it is usually necessary to obtain permission from individual stations to visit the area.
The National Park is semi developed attracting the more adventurous visitor seeking a wilderness-style experience. But being within an hours drive of Gascoyne Junction, it is also attracting those who want to sample the outback experience, but still feel a little unsure of leaving 'civilization'.
Best time to visit the park is late Autumn to early spring (June to September).
