Shell Beach is located on the Hamelin Road about forty-five kilometres from Denham and is accessible to all vehicles.
This beach is formed from billions of tiny shells and is one of only two in the world. It stretches for approximately one-hundred and ten kilometres and is between seven and ten metres deep.
These hard packed shells when cut into blocks, have been used in the construction of a number of buildings throughout Denham.
