The Mount Dandenong Arboretum extends over 16 hectares and contains a collection of maturing deciduous trees and conifers from around the world. 'Arboretum' is a Latin word meaning a place for trees and an Arboretum can simply be called a 'tree museum'.
Flora - Designed as a single specimen arboretum the tree collection contains a collection of mature deciduous trees and spectacular conifers from around the world, including Japan, Taiwan, and North America. The collection contains eight specimens that are listed in the National Trust's 'Significant Tree Register'.
