One of the oldest nature reserves in the state, having been set aside for protection in 1904. It contains different types of forest and is a sanctuary for a variety of flora and fauna.

Flora & FaunaWithin the park there are a 5 varieties of forest including rainforest. With such diverse flora the park is home to a large number of birds & animals. These include Peron's Tree Frog, Sphagnum Frog, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Azure Kingfisher, White-throated Needletail, Masked Lapwing, Brown Cuckoo-Dove, Willie Wagtail, Superb Lyrebird, Regent Bowerbird, Spotted-tailed Quoll, Dusky Antechinus, Fawn-footed Melomys, Common Brushtail Possum, Southern Angle-headed Dragon, Weasel Skink & the Eastern Water Dragon.

Getting There
Boorganna Nature Reserve is located just inland from the mid-north coast of NSW, approximately 370 km north of Sydney. It's on the edge of the Comboyne Plateau, 6.5 km west of the town of Comboyne, 60 km south-west of Port Macquarie and 40 km north of Taree. To reach the reserve, take the Innes View road, which branches off from the Comboyne to Wingham road just outside Comboyne.
