Main Range National Park is a recreational, rainforest retreat for walkers, wildlife watchers, and campers. If you want to walk along winding tracks, marvel at breathtaking views, discover our pioneering past and Aboriginal heritage, or camp in untouched wilderness, visit Main Range National Park.
Main Range National Park extends from Mt Mistake in the north, to Wilson's Peak on the Queensland-New South Wales border, and west to Queen Mary Falls. The park is made up of four sections: Mt Mistake, Cunningham's Gap including Spicer's Gap, Mt Roberts, and Queen Mary Falls. Declared in 1909, it was one of Queensland's first national parks.
While in the park you can do plenty of wildlife watching, take photos from the lookout, go bushwalking and learn all about Aboriginal heritage. The park has a number of facilities, including an information centre, shelter sheds, disabled access, picnic tables and BBQs, public toilets, drinking water and caravan access.
You can camp in developed or remote bushland sites, you'll need a permit. Camper self-registration stands are located at Cunningham's Gap and Spicer's Gap camping areas. Camping is not allowed at Queen Mary Falls but there's a private campground nearby.
