An area of mountainous wilderness cradling one of the state's largest undisturbed river catchments.

Steep gorges contrast with wide undulating plateaus in this rugged and wild place that forms a haven for marsupials and birds and contains the remote Brogo Wilderness Area. A park that will suit experienced bushwalkers, Wadbilliga has been deliberately left in a pristine state for the sake of the animals that take refuge here. Don't miss the striking Tuross Falls and Tuross River Gorge

Wadbilliga has fine examples of open forest, woodland, heath, swamp, bogs and numerous pockets of rainforest. There are some rare species of eucalypt and acacia that occur only here. In the Wadbilliga Valley, yellow box and forest red gum are found. On the ridgetops are large stands of silvertop ash, with snow gums at high altitudes. The Wadbilliga Plateau has dwarf she-oaks and rare stunted mallee eucalypts.

Due to the rugged and isolated nature of the park, animal populations here have remained relatively undisturbed. Many of the park's animals are large marsupials such as swamp wallabies, eastern grey kangaroos and wombats. There are also possums, platypuses and echidnas. The birdlife is varied too, with over 120 native species.
