Enjoy your stay in a charming 100 year old mud brick with a difference. Transformations Gallery and Creative Retreat offers all the comfortable amenities you will need for a perfect holiday set on a tranquil 80acres in Gunbower, that will recharge and inspire you.

This country bed and breakfast overlooks the water's edge, an ideal place to get away from it all. Off the beaten path; no traffic, no street lighting, just the sights and sounds of nature. Yet it's close enough to pop into Echuca for a round of golf or fine dining.

Features include, lounge with open log fire, stained glass windows, spiral staircase, attic studio and candlelit double spa. With at least a kilometre of water frontage, there is ample private space for fishing in the lagoon, walking or just sitting by the jetty, under the river red gums reading a book.

Transformations offers personalized courses in a variety of arts and crafts in our studio and workshop. See our web site for more details.

Location
Transformations is situated close to the Murray River, 32 kilometres from Echuca. We look out on the water's edge. We call it a creek, some call it a river, some a lake. You can sit by it, throw a fishing rod into it, row a boat along it, swim in it, or just enjoy it. On the banks of the mighty Murray River lie historic river port towns which offer wine, jazz, fishing, boating or simply lazing and, the Barmah State Forest where ancient Red River Gums dip their leaves.
Special Features
We offer traditional bed and breakfast facilities. Breakfast is a hearty country style, with eggs from our own hens and produce from our farm garden and orchard when in season. It served with country hospitality. Our facilities include a gallery (showroom and sales), woodwork shed, metalwork shed and attic studio. We offer personalised workshops in wood turning, heirloom box making, model engineering and metal work. Tuition in patchwork and cloth doll making are also available. Couples can mix and match activities if they wish.

My wife and had a wonderful weekend staying with Bruce and Glenys for 3 nights. The area is great for walks and is wonderful in the morning when the sun comes up over the local billabong. Also, the pub at Gunbower is not far away with great meals together with the pub at Torrumbarry, where we had a great meal on Sunday night ... Read More (Date of experience: Jun, 2010 )
