This reserve protects an extensive headland midden mound with shells and other artefacts of importance to local Aboriginal people. The site is important because of its size, diversity of cultural remains and cultural significance.

There is a self-guided walking track at the site. The walk also has panoramic views of the coastline, Brush Island, Durras Mountain and the hinterland ranges.

Getting There
This reserve is on the south coast of New South Wales, 40 km north of Batemans Bay. Access is via Murramarang Road, off the Princes Highway at Termeil. You'll need to walk 800 metres along the public right of way to Racecourse Beach.
