Baxter Wood Cottages are situated on the outskirts of Durham's city centre in the North East of England.
The farm dates back to the 14th century, hosting two self-catering cottages, which are rated 4-star by the English Tourism Council. The cottages provide guests with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with Gate Cottage sleeping two people offering a twin bedroom, and Corner Cottage catering for up to four people with two twin rooms.
Both of the cottages are equipped with fitted carpets alongside a range of amenities including a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge room with a television, VHS player and radio cassette player. The cottages also contain a laundry room, and a spacious courtyard area with parking space and outdoor furniture where guests can relax.
The cottages are an excellent base for exploring the historical city of Durham, situated just two miles away. The city hosts a range of attractions including the Castle and Cathedral, the Botanical Gardens, The Gala Theatre, and a variety of shops, bars and pubs.
