A rugged and varied peninsula of cliffs, mobile sand dunes, sheltered bays and sandy beaches surrounded by the waters of Boston Bay, Spencer Gulf and the Great Australian Bight.

Inland, granite outcrops rise above dense mallee vegetation. Several off-shore islands are included in the park.

The sheltered coves are suitable for mooring boats. Tall mallees overhang the shores providing shade for camping and picnic groups. Memory Cove Wilderness Area is limited to 15 vehicles per day and 5 camping sites. Bookings for camping and access can be made at the Visitor Information Centre opposite the jetty open 7 days a week.

Bushfire Information Gas fires only from 1 November to 30 April. On days of total fireban all fires including gas fires are prohibited. Memory Cove - Gas fires only all year round

Entry Fees
Camping Fees: Maximum 3 Nights stay - $18 per vehicle, per night. Vehicle Entry Permit - $ 6 per vehicle (available at the self-registration- station located at park entrance). Free entry without vehicle. Annual Eyre Parks Pass - $55 includes camping and entry plus camping in the Memory Cove Wilderness area.

Stayed for 3 nights, the camping areas were setup well giving occupants privacy from neighbours. The gravel roads were great. I'm not sure whether the drought had affected the wildlife at the park, and come to think of it everywhere else on the Eyre Peninsula because there was just no wildlife to see anywhere ...
