Wilderness area containing Australia's largest remaining area of lowland tropical rainforest. Spectacular and unusual wildlife. Crocodile habitat. Take water. Just north of Lockhart River Community.

Long sweeping beaches, rocky outcrops, the largest area of lowland tropical rainforest in Australia and rugged, heath-covered ranges are significant features of this remote park on Cape York Peninsula.

The Kuuku Ya'u people are the Traditional Owners of this country, otherwise known as Kawadji, the "people of the east". They, along with their ancestors, have maintained a strong cultural and spiritual link to this area for thousands of years.
