Due to the spectacular views from the ranges, Eungella is famed throughout Queensland for its natural beauty. Pronounced 'young-galah', it is also one of Queensland's largest national parks and home to the longest continuous stretch of subtropical rainforest. It is little wonder that much of the park's 51,700 hectares is still rugged and explored bush.

More than 20 km of walking tracks, waterfalls, rock pools and crystal clear streams are found in the park as well as native wildlife including the famous platypus. A viewing platform at the Broken River section of the park allows visitors to enjoy this native creature in its natural habitat, particularly around dawn and dusk.
