Edward Point State Faunal Reserve is near St Leonards on the Bellarine Peninsula. This area was declared a reserve in March 1971 to protect its vegetation and significant wildlife. The reserve consists of a vegetated sand spit and a small island which shelters the shallow waters and salt marsh of the Swan Bay Marine Reserve.

Edward Point is a popular destination for bird observers. As you walk along the beach you are likely to come across groups of tiny Red-necked Stints feeding at the waters edge. White-fronted Chats, Crested Terns and Pied Oyster-catchers are commonly seen.
