Point Gellibrand Coastal Heritage Park is a new regional park that has been created to protect the cultural heritage values and coastal character of the area, whilst providing a range of visitor facilities and passive open space opportunities.

Flora & Fauna - Migratory wader birds species feed at Shelly Beach, alongside pelicans. Keep an eye out for the Little Penguin that sometimes visits the area. The site was populated by coastal saltbush but was extremely degraded as a result of previous uses. Local groups are helping Parks Victoria to re-establish Noon Flower, Pigface, Coastal Saltbush, Knobby Clubrush and indigenous grasses.
