The Great House Hotel is a beautiful grade II listed building, perfectly situated for touring the area. The hotel is believed to have been a gift from Queen Elizabeth 1 for the Earl of Leicester and was used as a hunting lodge by him.
The hotel has many great features including a stone arch above the fireplace in the cocktail bar which is supposed to be the largest single, unbroken piece of stone in Wales. Relax in the walled garden, or take a drink onto the patio area before dinner or for those colder months of the year unwind in the cosy cocktail bar which has open fires.
The Great House Hotel offers fantastic accommodation with each room having character all of its own. All rooms come complete with en suite facilities, direct dial telephone, trouser press, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and bathrobes.
