Surrounded by rolling countryside and within the boundary of Dartmoor National Park, the Miniature Pony Centre is a haven for wildlife. A combination of habitats including hedges, pasture, wetlands, ponds and trees all add to the wildlife interest. Take time to see the Willow Garden, where you can delight in the peaceful and attractive surroundings, observe the various insects and butterflies amongst the flowers and plants, and secretly watch the birds feeding.
See, meet and touch over 150 animals, including famous Miniature Shetland ponies and Miniature Mediterranean donkeys that foal throughout the spring and early summer. Also waiting to meet you are Gulliver, the Shire horse, and Chico and Harpo, the miniature horses. There are lots of free, fun, hands-on activities and displays every day.
Head for the riding arena for a pony ride, supervised by one of our helpful and friendly staff. Enjoy the fun play areas, fun shows and why not experience the Paddocks café for a bite to eat.The Miniature Pony Centre is an ideal destination for a car-free day out. The Transmoor Link (number 82 bus), which connects Exeter and Plymouth, has an appointed bus stop directly outside our entrance. Fun for the whole family
