Situated in the country township of Molong, The Molong Historical Museum is a piece of history in itself, situated in the 1856 early colonial building constructed by James Mortal. Previously known as the "Golden Fleece" Hotel and was once a stop over point for Cobb & Co. before the arrival of the Railway, The Molong Historical Museum houses various collections of local pioneering and agricultural history as well as Molong town history.

Come along and see displays of Clothing, China and Glassware, War relics and local Geological Specimens, a kitchen, agricultural room, bedroom and parlour are furnished in late 19th century styles and a photographic record of Fairbridge Farm School and a gallery of local Pioneers are on Display.

Opening hours are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays and Public Holidays. Arrangements can be made to open at other times.
