Jamaica Blue launched in 1992 when the first café opened in Miranda, NSW, Australia.
The name Jamaica Blue originates from the renowned and majestic Blue Mountains in Jamaica where the climatic conditions are ideal for growing premium coffee. The Jamaica Blue concept was built around delivering high quality premium espresso coffee and fresh light food to customers in a contempory cafe environment.
By 2000 the national store count amounted to a total of 38 outlets. In 2001, Jamaica Blue opened its first store in Kuwait. By 2004, Jamaica Blue was the National Retail Association Winner, Franchisor of the Year - Hospitality.
Today, Jamaica Blue has over 48 locations in Australia, 4 in New Zealand, 3 in Kuwait and 2 in China.
