The New Inn is situated in Clovelly on a delightful little cobbled street with the only traffic noise being that of people's footsteps and the occasional donkeys' hooves. The New Inn was originally built in the 17th century and was a hostelry for over 100 years, it was then refurbished in the style of William Morris, and the interior is still in the style of William Morris' with tapestry and interwoven leaf designs.
The hotel offers superbly furnished, bright and airy rooms all of which come complete with colour televisions and luxury en suite bathrooms. Seven of the eight bedrooms feature sea views over Bideford Bay towards Saunton Sands and Braunton, ten miles away. The eighth bedroom has its own private balcony from which there is a delightful view of Clovelly's world famous cobbled street. Three of the rooms open out onto a long balcony overlooking the street.
