Only 10 minutes west of Perth's central business district, the Subiaco Arts Centre is a multi-purpose venue surrounded by magnificent gardens often used for craft fairs, wedding photographs, picnics, and free summer twilight concerts presented by the City of Subiaco.
Originally built as the Subiaco City Hall in 1956, the building was converted into a performing arts venue and opened in 1984 as the Subiaco Theatre Centre. In 2006, the centre underwent major refurbishment and reopened as Subiaco Arts Centre.
In addition to presenting many high quality public performances, Subiaco Arts Centre also hosts keep-fit and yoga community classes, as well as actors workshops and theatre company rehearsals.
Subiaco Arts Centre is home to Barking Gecko, Perth's leading theatre company for young people.
