Hampton Court Herefordshire Gardens, also known as the Van Kampen Gardens are set in the grounds of the Hampton Court Estate in Herefordshire. The gardens have recently been completed, and are one of the most ambitious garden creations of our time.
There is a maze of a thousand yews with a Gothic tower at its centre, and original Victorian garden walls that enclose stunning new flower gardens divided by canals, island pavilions and pleached avenues. There is a garden shop that sells a wide selection of plants, many of which you will find growing within the gardens.
The garden also hosts the Orangery Restaurant that serves delicious food and drink, which is organic wherever possible. Much of this is fresh from the kitchen garden and otherwise from local producers and suppliers. In 2001 the Orangery Restaurant was voted 7th in the independents 50 Best places for afternoon tea survey.
